Good Evening, Can I order two large pizzas with extra kindness

Okay so like I haven’t done a blog post in a while because I am about to change the format of what I write about. So part of my new format is going to be about customer service because I deal with so many that don't know what customer service is about
So tonight I ordered pizza, you know from one of those big chains the one that doesn’t like Puffery. But yet the employees like to argue. I am not saying all of them, I just happen to run into the one that does like to argue with a customer.
Okay so I go on the website and I order a small pizza, then I decide I want some chicken wings, well then it wouldn’t take my coupon so I looked up on their online coupons and they had a special for a large, buy one get one free. Two times Tuesday, I think it's called. So I get two large pizzas both with three toppings each, a ten piece chicken wing, and a 2 liter of Coke and it comes to like thirty bucks. Now I don't know about you, but, I know I order pizza but maybe three times a month. When I do order, I order a lot and treat everyone that lives on the same floor as I do in the building, hey it is not only the Italian thing to do but Jesus did it as well long before.
Okay so here we go. I am sitting at my computer and my phone rings, it was the delivery driver. She tells me that she is here and for me to come outside and get my food. Last I remember, Pizza Delivery Personnel deliver your pizza to the door. At least we did when I use to deliver. I have worked for a couple of pizza restaurant’s as a delivery driver and also as a Troubleshooting Manager. The Troubleshooter position was awesome, we had 2500 stores and us troubleshooters just went from srore to store fixing what was wrong to bring in a high revenue and profit margin. One thing that we always found that is of major importance, that is Customer Service mainly because there is four to five other pizza restaurants within 1 mile of every house in the state of New Jersey.
So anyway, I got out of my chair and I walked to the main entrance. That would be the entrance that I listed in special instructions for the driver to go through to get it inside of the apartment building. I get to the main entrance and I opened the door and you know right now it is freezing cold outside in southern New Jersey. When I opened the door the driver was in her SUV in the center of the parking lot and when I opened the door she looked over at me and was in there as if I should have walked over to her vehicle to get my order. So I stood my ground and stood and stood in the doorway. I actually stayed in the doorway somebody upstairs was talking down the stairwell to me. Anyway it takes a minute for her to get from her vehicle 20 feet away to the door. So I asked her, don’t you deliver to the inside of apartment buildings? She says to me that the door doesn’t have a number on it. I said I know because it’s the main entrance. Now you see why I wrote it in the special instructions, there is always one in the group. I said the number is on my door at my apartment where you were supposed to deliver the pizza to. This is not my problem she says, there is no number on this door, so I said; Are you okay, are you listening. It says on the side of a pizza box to go through the door to go out to the building and get to my apartment.
Okay so this might not be no big deal to some people. But for me it is. She is here arguing with me, acting like I am wrong, when I’m the one that ordered and is paying for it, and I followed the instructions on the website and I wrote in special instructions. Now if I’d known I was not going to get doorstep service then I would of ordered from the pizza shop 4 doors down. Which by the is good pizza and I recommend. Call Buzzy's Pizza 856-662-2222 or CLICK HERE for number and directions. I would have never have guessed I would ever get a call from a delivery driver for me to come outside to get my food. Every now and then I get in the mood for something different, so I order from a different company. Sometimes I even order from the company with all the Puffery.
So this is a big deal because you know I am disabled and 65% of my body is skin grafts and I have chronic pain, and I can’t move without pain running throughout my body. There is nothing I want to do less then walking. And now I got some delivery driver the wants me to come outside to get my food. Okay so anyway, her and I go back and forth a couple of times and I asked if it was normal to argue with the customer, she says it’s not my problem there in no number on the door, so I said you never saw a main entrance to a building before. Point of the matter is she was just lazy. She could have got out of it really easy by saying that it wasn’t really safe for a female to be walking through a door of an unfamiliar building. That would’ve got her out of everything, but she didn’t say that it wasn't on her mind, and instead she just argued with me and argued with me. Not only did id ruin that moment and experience of this new recipe pizza, But here it is five hours later and it is still on my mind.
The old saying that; "The customer is always right," is a good standard because it keeps a customer happy and coming back. If a conflict arises with the customer, an employee should just simply bow down, admit defeat, and know that's what it takes to keep the customer happy. The name of the game is profit and you can’t make it if you don’t have a customer. Good old customer service has gone right out the window with these new generations. There is no way possible that an employee can win an argument with a customer, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. Even if the employee is right about the subject of the argument, the employee is wrong with arguing with a customer.
Well I have had enough of this, and I’m tired of talking about it. I am disappointed with myself that I even gave her a tip. Since a good portion of my life I worked for tips, there’s this thing built with inside of me that doesn’t allow me not to tip someone even when they don’t deserve to be tipped, because I know their life depends on that tip money. For now on that stops. So does my ordering from that store. Well at least we'll wait and see how management handles it. After all they did call once after I wrote negative feedback on their site. He didn't sound too concerned though and said he had to speak to another manager about it. I was asleep when he called and perhaps didn't spell out the situation properly.
Well thank you Dominoes, for a new enlightening experience. I like the new recipe for the sauce and I am happy that your pizza doesn’t taste like cardboard anymore, however just to let you know there’s too much vinegar in the wing sauce. All in all the food was good but the service will stunk and ruined the experience.
I forgot to mention two things:
-
My pizza was slammed against one side of the box as if the driver was took a turn at 40 mph. of course the pizza was put in the box directly on cardboard instead of one of those non-slip white inserts that other companies use.
-
The name on the box said Rev. Robert
I guess other Reverend’s wouldn’t speak out, they would be quiet. Not me. Jesus spoke out about what he was displeased with that affected others. While his entire life was about teachings of our faith, my life differs in that, I am stuck in this secular society and don’t have the people around me as he did. Oh yea, my life differs in that, I AM NOT PERFECT as he is and was and always will be.
I have 9 pizza shops within 2 miles of my home or so, well at least that many deliver to here.

I recommend making your own sauce, nothing else can compare, otherwise use Cento Pizza Sauce.
Also I use shredded mozzarella and shredded provolone as well.
** AN IMPORTANT NOTE **
With all due seriousness, you can’t blame an entire organization because of one. You gotta try the new recipe.
